Icom IC-FR5000 repeater setup - part 1

The IC-FR5000 (with network interface) does not require a programming cable.
You can do all the configuration using a web browser and the CS-FR5000 cloning software.
(Note: We bought a couple of them in Asia and found out that the network interface was optional)

Plug the repeater to your LAN switch.
Change your computer's IP address to 192.168.0.100
The default IP address for the FR-5000 is. 192.168.0.11

Open the repeater's address in your browser.

Default username is  cbadmin

Default password is ucfr5000

You may change the network configuration according to your setup.

Also note down the ports that you can use to connect the programming software.
The default is 41000

Now install the CS-FR5000 software.
Edit the TCP/IP settings. Enter the IP Address and programming port (default 41000)

Press "clone read"

You can now change all settings of your Icom repeater remotely.
Advanced settings will be posted later on or on demand
